Activity # 6 - Information Literacy


Luke Hemmings, the spontaneous lead guitarist. 
Most Influential Person in my life: 

 The most influential person in my life is Luke Hemmings. He is the lead guitarist of the band, 5 Seconds of Summer. His role in my life is that he helped me focus, he inspired/motivated me whenever I feel down. He also made me smile during those days that I feel like my world is crumbling down right in front of me. I had known him since 2014 through Youtube. I still haven't met him but I already saw him twice. One of the main reasons as to why I love him so much is because of his bubbly personality. He's also extremely talented. He made a huge impact in my life through his music. 

 Stages/Elements of Information Technology 

Stages/Elements and Answers: 
1.) Information needs: I need to know if there are still classes despite not having a legit typhoon confirmed by the weather station. I also need to know the affected areas that I need to avoid (e.g Flood, Landslides). Lastly, I need to know when the heavy rainfall will stop.  
2.) Sources of information: My source would be news reports, radio, and the Internet. 
3.) Access to the information: Through the help of my phone that is connected to the Internet, I would search for the most recent weather report. 
4.) Evaluate Information: I will analyze if the report is credible and reliable. I will search for other sources that would prove the truthfulness of the report. 
5.) Organize Information: I will organize and store information by taking screenshots of the official report. I could also save the link from websites with the report included. 
6.) Communicate Information: I will spread the information by sharing it through Messenger and Twitter. Of course I would put my sources in it before reusing the information. There is also a "Retweet" function in Twitter so that you could share it without removing the source.

Activity # 10 - Media and Information Languages

Media and Information Languages  Politician Scenario  Questions Answers Predict how this event will be covered by television, radio, print and Internet? Obviously, this specific event will be covered in several different ways depending on the medium used. For the television, there will be a reporter on the event where it is currently happening. He/she will give us live information about what is going on in that area. For the radio, there will be a broadcaster that will encourage people to share their thoughts and opinions regarding the situation. Whereas in print, the data gathered can be printed on newspapers, or posters. There may also be placards brought by the supporters of the government official.
