Activity # 5 - Exposure to Traditional and New Media

 Before I was able to create a final output for my Timeline, I first made a draft. I also made a plan that there should be a special title for each year that I discovered new technology. 

I decided that this would be the sequence for my timeline: 
1.) Ultrasound (2000): first contact with technology, even if i still wasn't born yet 
2.) Camera (2003): developing pictures for my father abroad
3.) Television (2004): colored television and watching cartoons 
4.) Telephone (2005): wireless phone, fun fact about my teeth 
5.) Storybooks and Nokia 3210 (2006): before the official boom of technology, i had toys and storybooks 
6.) y8 Games (2007): decorating and dress-up games, computer shop
7.) Yahoo Messenger (2008): relationship with classmates, just like Facebook Messenger 
8.) Facebook (2009): start of my social media addiction
9.) Nintendo DS and PSP (2010): diner dash, tekken, luxor, mario bros. 
10.) Twitter (2011): opinions, news for suspension of classes
11.) Laptop (2012): bejeweled, helped me a lot for my academics
12.) Android phone - Samsung (2014): lost my phone during girl scout ceremony, punishment
13.) Instagram (2016): feed goals, selfies
14.) Snapchat (2015): streaks, stories and aesthetic

Activity # 10 - Media and Information Languages

Media and Information Languages  Politician Scenario  Questions Answers Predict how this event will be covered by television, radio, print and Internet? Obviously, this specific event will be covered in several different ways depending on the medium used. For the television, there will be a reporter on the event where it is currently happening. He/she will give us live information about what is going on in that area. For the radio, there will be a broadcaster that will encourage people to share their thoughts and opinions regarding the situation. Whereas in print, the data gathered can be printed on newspapers, or posters. There may also be placards brought by the supporters of the government official.
